Things To Do

We are only 1/2 mile from a magnificent sand duned beach between Dyffryn Ardudwy and Talybont in the Snowdonia National Park. It is an ideal place to spend time whatever the season – enjoy the great outdoors and clear your mind.

Apart from the seaside attractions the scenery inland is spectacular with wonderful walking or cycling on dedicated routes. Located at the Southern end of the Snowdonia National Park there are serious mountains or gentle foothills within easy range. We are also in a Bird watchers Paradise with the Welsh nesting Ospreys nearby as well as Red Kites, and several locations for wonderful wildfowl watching.

Mountain Biking
There is a spectacular all weather singletrack trail centre at Coed Y Brenin. The purpose-built visitor centre offers hot drinks, snacks, main meals, bike hire and a fully equipped shop.

The Off Shore Sea School based at Pwllheli makes use of Tremadog Bay to hold their courses for children and adults. A day spent on the water being taught safety and boat handling will be memorable for all.

Pony Trekking
Bwlchgwyn Farm, located between the villages of Arthog and Fairbourne, has a good selection of horses and ponies suitable for persons of all ages and abilities. The Trekking Centre offers one or two hourly treks each day.
