Welcome to Llys Bennar Holiday Cottages
Located in the Snowdonia national park we have fully and sympathetically refurbished Llys Bennar Holiday Cottages with your comfort in mind. The cottages feel fresh whilst retaining the character of our heritage and are the perfect base for you to escape, relax and explore.
Benar beach is half a mile away and is reached via a beautiful hedgerow edged lane from which you can see the unmistakable summit of Snowdon to the North.
Wide sandy beaches stretch between the seashore and the sand dunes inviting you to enjoy a walk or swim. The beach is dog friendly for the whole year.
If you are lucky you will get a glimpse of one of our most popular locals - the dolphins love to play in the bay as much as we do.
The pink, orange and purple sunsets are spectacular. If you like your sunsets with a cocktail then the terrace at Norbar will appeal or you can relax with a glass on your patio.
Llys Bennar holiday cottages are barn conversions from an original watermill which can be traced back 200 years. Four cottages are built around a central communal courtyard and each property has a patio area with outside seating. The properties are dog friendly so you can enjoy a holiday as a family but please note that there are no self-contained/walled gardens so your dog will need to be well behaved and we are not suitable for canine escapologists!
There are so many things to do that you may need to come back to tick off everything on your list. Snowdon itself is more than just a mountain with Zip world and Bounce Below among its many attractions. Harlech castle (a world heritage site), Portmeirion, the waterfalls at Nantcol and Ffestioniog railway are just a few of the famous local landmarks. We have a whole section on our website dedicated to activities in the area. These include walking, hiking, golf, boat rides, slate mines, water sports such as canoeing and paddle boarding, cycling and mountain biking, horse riding, fishing and more.
There are plenty of choices too when it comes to pubs, bars and restaurants (not to mention fish and chips and ice creams!) – more information about things to do.
